Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: March 17, 2026

By placing an order with The Egyptian Walking Onion, you agree to the following terms. These policies are designed to protect both the grower and the gardener, and to ensure a clear understanding of what to expect when purchasing living plants.

Living Plants

Egyptian Walking Onion topsets and plants are living organisms. Their appearance, size, color, and growth habits naturally vary. No two harvests are identical, and variation is part of what makes heirloom plants resilient and unique.

While we strive to provide vigorous, healthy planting stock, we cannot guarantee performance once plants leave our care, as growing success depends on climate, soil, planting practices, wildlife, and other environmental factors beyond our control.

Ordering Agreement

When you place an order, you are reserving harvested plant material. Payment is required at the time of purchase.

Please review all product descriptions carefully before ordering. If you are unsure what to purchase, we are always happy to help guide you.

Shipping

Orders are shipped according to the seasonal schedule described on our Shipping & Pre-Sale page.

Once a package has been transferred to the carrier, delivery timing becomes the responsibility of the shipping provider. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, carrier disruptions, or incorrect shipping addresses supplied at checkout.

Please ensure your shipping information is accurate before completing your purchase.

Cold, Heat, and Transit Stress

Plants may experience cosmetic stress during transit, including bent greens, dry outer layers, or minor bruising. This is normal for shipped plant material and rarely affects long-term viability.

Open your package promptly and follow the planting or storage guidance provided on this website.

Refunds and Replacements

If your order arrives severely damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs.

Approved claims may be eligible for replacement or refund at our discretion. Because plants are perishable, we cannot offer refunds for issues reported after this window.

We cannot replace plants that fail due to planting conditions, neglect, weather extremes, pests, or other environmental factors.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Orders may be modified or canceled only if they have not yet entered processing or shipment preparation.

During peak harvest periods, orders often move quickly — we appreciate your understanding.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the plant material. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, including crop loss, garden performance, or incidental expenses.

Privacy

Your personal information is used solely to fulfill orders and provide customer support. We never sell or share your information.

For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

A Living Agreement

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are buying a living plant and accept the natural variability that comes with it. In return, we promise to grow, select, and ship every order with care, integrity, and deep respect for the plant itself.
