Yellow
Flag Iris Yellow Flag Iris (Iris pseudacorus) is the
perfect addition to your pond or water garden. Yellow Flag is a tall plant growing
from 4 to 6 feet in height. Multiple flowers appear on tall stems in the summer
and are a brilliant yellow color with backward curving sepals which are non-bearded.
The flowers themselves are about 4" across in size. The sword-like leaves
are long and flattened. They emerge in late winter and continue growing all spring
and summer. Yellow Flag can be planted directly in the water or in soil. These
are perennial plants and will continue to come back year after year and will spread
slowly over time. If you are looking for a cold hardy pond plant with gorgeous
coloration, Yellow Flag Iris is the perfect plant for your pond or water garden.
Our Yellow Flags thrive in our pond and gardens. They have endured tough winters
with temperatures down to -24 degrees F! We have them planted in pea gravel about
6" below the water surface. Hardiness
zone: 3-10 Yellow

fireworks display - plant style! Small-flowered Bulrush are hardy, perennial
